In the United States, boys have been shot to varying degrees because they ring the wrong doorbell, women for mischanging lanes, and cheerleaders getting into the wrong car. In a poll last year, eight in ten Americans said gun violence was on the rise, and three-quarters saw it as a major problem. Shootings in the United States are frequent, shootings occur every day, and the United States is shooting time all the time.
