The idea of the work
On January 6th, U.S. President Trump announced that the Venezuelan interim government would transfer 30 to 50 million barrels of oil to the United States. This oil would be sold at market price, and the proceeds would be overseen by Trump to ensure the funds are used “to benefit the Venezuelan and American people.”
Trump stated that he had instructed Energy Secretary Chris Wright to immediately implement this plan. The oil would be loaded onto tankers and shipped directly to unloading terminals in the United States.
Currently, there has been no official statement from the Venezuelan side regarding this matter.
