According to Japan’s Mainichi Shimbun, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and U.S. President Donald Trump, who is currently visiting Japan, held a meeting at the State Guest House in Tokyo on the morning of the 28th local time.
According to reports, this was their first meeting, and the two governments are expected to sign a joint document after the meeting to implement the details of the agreement reached in the tariff negotiations.
After the meeting, the two will have a working lunch and then travel together by private jet to the U.S. Navy’s Yokosuka Base in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, to inspect the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington, among other things.
