As the Guo Wengui case enters its final compensation phase, the court is discussing appointing a “Special Master” to assist in managing and reviewing claims from tens of thousands of investors worldwide. Given the massive sums involved (over $1 billion) and the complexity of the projects (including GTV and the Himalaya Exchange), the trustee stated that ensuring fairness and transparency in the compensation process is a key focus of the current judicial work.
