On the 5th, 24 U.S. states jointly filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade, seeking to halt the new tariff measures recently announced and implemented by the Trump administration.
According to the Associated Press, the attorneys general of Oregon, Arizona, California, and New York led the filing of the lawsuit. The 24 states allege that President Trump exceeded his statutory authority by invoking Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974 to impose a 15% tariff on the vast majority of goods worldwide.
