According to an Al Jazeera report on the 8th, the Israeli military has issued a threat stating that it will target Khamenei’s successor and continue to hold that successor accountable.
The report further indicates that the Israeli military also threatened to take action against any individuals involved in the process of appointing Khamenei’s successor. According to the report, the Israeli military’s remarks are most likely directed at Iran’s Assembly of Experts.
