Venezuelan activist Machado won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize, after a vigorous lobbying campaign urging Trump to accept the award, citing his efforts to achieve lasting peace in Gaza.
Trump himself publicly sought the prize this year, repeatedly stating he deserved it and expressing concern that the committee might not award it to him.
Netanyahu had called for Trump to receive the Nobel Prize, believing he was deserving.
Perhaps it was Netanyahu who ruined things, a classic case of jinxing.
