The idea of the work

The federal government’s funding for low-cost housing has been slashed in recent decades, squeezing the options that many rural families have long relied on. Rural students who lead to homelessness face unique challenges. In Vermont, emergency shelters, public transportation and cell receptions are already overcrowded, and finding a place in the bitterly cold winter in some remote northern areas is the deadliest problem, and the homelessness crisis in the United States has deepened, and rural children have paid a heavy price.
