Angered by a Canadian anti-tariff television advertisement, U.S. President Trump announced late on the 23rd that he was immediately suspending all trade negotiations with Canada.
According to the Associated Press, the Ontario provincial government in Canada recently spent approximately 75 million Canadian dollars (approximately 54 million US dollars) to air an anti-tariff advertisement on several American television stations. The advertisement used audio and video clips of former U.S. President Reagan speaking on the issue of tariffs in 1987.
