According to Reuters, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting on May 26 that Israel will decide which foreign forces will be allowed to join the “international force” to be deployed to the Gaza Strip.
Netanyahu said at the cabinet meeting: “We are in control of our own security, and we have made it clear regarding the ‘international force’ issue that Israel will decide which forces are unacceptable. This is how we operate, and it will continue to be so.”
Netanyahu also added: “Of course, the United States also accepts this position.”
