It was also said that the balloon might have high-precision equipment, for which F22 and electronic reconnaissance aircraft were also dispatched. The spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry has repeatedly stressed that this is not a “spy balloon”, but a civilian unmanned airship used for meteorology, which was affected by the westerly wind belt and had limited control capabilities, only seriously deviated from the scheduled route and wandered all the way to the United States, and therefore the airship strayed into US airspace under force majeure factors to express regret.
