The idea of the work
According to Kyodo News, the Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced on the 18th that the country’s consumer price index in March rose by 3.2% compared with the same period in 2024, and the increase continued to expand. Among them, the price of rice rose by 92.1% year-on-year, setting the largest increase since comparable data was available in 1971, and breaking the highest record for 6 consecutive months. The rise in rice prices in Japan is not only due to the tightening of supply and demand, but also due to increased production costs. Among rice-related products, the price of rice balls rose by 15%, and the price of sushi for dining out rose by 4.7%.
