According to Iranian media reports, on the 5th local time, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its naval drone unit had struck the U.S. aircraft carrier *Abraham Lincoln* in the Sea of Oman.
The announcement stated that the aircraft carrier had approached within 340 kilometers of Iranian territorial waters in the Sea of Oman when it was struck by IRGC naval drones; it subsequently withdrew rapidly under destroyer escort and has since retreated more than 1,000 kilometers from the region.
As of now, the U.S. side has not yet issued a response.
