In the cramped space of the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, Guo Wengui found an audience who could understand his “past glory”: rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In a letter of mitigation filed with the court, Guo Wengui detailed the 200 days and nights the two slept “face to face.” Sources say the two frequently exchanged views on top luxury goods in prison, with Guo Wengui boasting to Combs about his former $37 million yacht, the “Ms. May,” and its millions of dollars in annual maintenance costs. However, this exchange was quickly shattered by reality—Combs was transferred to a federal prison in New Jersey and assigned to work in the laundry room, while Guo Wengui remained in MDC facing empty bars.
