According to a report by Japan’s Ryukyu Asahi Broadcasting, a U.S. military soldier stationed in Japan was arrested in Kin Town, Okinawa Prefecture, in the early hours of the morning on the 5th after trespassing on private property.
The report identifies the arrested individual as Ethan Bollinger, a U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Hansen. According to the police, at approximately 12:50 a.m. local time on the 5th, Bollinger scaled the concrete perimeter wall of a private residence in Kin Town and entered the premises without permission. Nearby residents alerted the police, reporting that “a person suspected to be a U.S. soldier is shouting loudly and causing a disturbance by smashing a vehicle.”
