The idea of the work
The U.S. State Department announced on Tuesday that it had approved an emergency sale of military products worth $138 million to Ukraine to repair its HAWK missile system.
Defense Secretary Austin said on Tuesday that the “outcome” of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia would have “global implications” for U.S. security. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned this week that Ukraine would “lose the war” if U.S. lawmakers did not pass more funding. A failure in Ukraine could drag other European countries and the United States into the war. The assistance will “support U.S. foreign policy objectives and national security objectives” as it will improve the security of partner countries. The U.S. State Department said funding the HAWK system is in the best interest of the United States.
