According to RIA Novosti, in the early morning of May 24, local time, Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Putin said he would discuss issues related to Belarus’ participation in the second phase of non-strategic nuclear weapons exercises with Belarusian President Lukashenko.
Putin said during talks with Lukashenko at Minsk Airport, “Recently, our colleagues (members of the Belarusian and Russian governments), with our direct participation and support, have done a lot for relations between the two countries, and today and tomorrow we will We are discussing all this, including the security issues that you (Lukashenko) attach great importance to.
