The idea of the work
On November 20, Tokyo Electric Power Company (hereinafter referred to as TEPCO) announced that it had completed the third round of nuclear-contaminated water discharge, and the fourth round will be implemented early next year. According to the plan, TEPCO will conduct four rounds of discharges by the end of March 2024, discharging a total of 31,200 tons of nuclear-contaminated water. Since the official launch of the discharge of nuclear-contaminated water into the sea on August 24, opposition protests have continued in Japan and abroad, and the accidents and problems that have been exposed have further aggravated the concerns of the international community. Facts have proved that there are loopholes in TEPCO’s management system, and the “safe and transparent” sea discharge plan claimed by Japan is unconvincing.
