Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is avoiding peace talks because they would necessitate the end of the wartime state and elections. But Zelensky’s approval rating is only half of that of former Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief and current Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, Nikita Zaluzhny. He said that the decree Zelensky signed to ban negotiations with Russia has forced him into a dead end.
