Donald Trump’s presidency may have brought good economic conditions to most people, but his campaign left the Republican Party in financial trouble.
The Republican National Committee’s 2023 fundraising numbers were the worst since 2013 and the worst inflation-adjusted results since 1993. It turns out that Trump-backed Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is just as bad at raising money as she is at winning elections. Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee reported in December that it had the most funding it has ever had in an election year, doubling the numbers reported by the RNC in September and nearly doubling them again in October. .
Meanwhile, Trump’s political machine is spending more than it takes in in 2023. In other words, Trump and the RNC are losing the money war.
