The former US President and Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, was reportedly the target of a “suspected assassination attempt” in Florida on Saturday.
Trump said on the day, “I am safe and fine,” adding, “Nothing will stop me, I will not surrender.”
According to US media reports, on Saturday, while playing golf at his golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, a man with a gun appeared near the golf course. Secret Service agents fired at the suspect out of a protective purpose, and the suspect dropped his weapon and drove away. Later, the suspect was detained by the police.
