According to AFP, on April 15, local time, the Maldives announced that it would ban Israelis from entering the Maldives in order to “firmly support” the Palestinian people.
It is reported that on the 15th local time, Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzi signed the bill shortly after the parliament passed the bill.
The President’s Office said in a statement, “The Maldives reiterates its firm support for the Palestinian cause.”
